After the customer bought
the building and gave it some much needed attention, new signage was addressed,
no pun intended. This customer allowed some latitude in materials for the project.
The first order of business was the electric monument. The structure was already
in place, although some extensive repair and paint were required on the cabinet, due
to rust from being "watered" in the yard for years (there's a lesson
to be learned here.) A new face for the can was then produced, which incorporated
the old logo and a new logo created by ProComm.
The customer wanted a large address piece to help to identify the building and
make it the focal point of the outside, rather than the name. We used aluminum,
which was then routed, brushed in different patterns to create depth, and clear
powder coated to protect it. The finished piece is 10' x 2 1/2' and was mounted
using 2" spacers. The rear entrance sign was produced just like the address
sign, with the exception of the logo being subtly brushed into the metal and
used as background.
