lovely "sign" still proudly endures along Denver's busy
Speer Boulevard. You have to take our word that it signifies the
existence of a speedometer company below (yes, still in business!)
We believe this sign was erected when the company was selling speedometers
to covered wagons on their way to the Pikes Peak gold boom of 1858.
